Thermashield Double Dekker Underfloor Foil Insulation

Thermashield Double Dekker Foil insulation is highly effective and cost effiicent way of insulating suspended floors, either during construction, before the floor is installed or retrofit after construction. The system makes use of 2  to 3 layers of space age technology foil to achieve R-values significantly higher than Building Code Requirements. Allowing flexibility to offset maximum window coverage, orientation and other wall, ceiling R-values using the NZBC H1 Calculation Method.

Advantages

A product not containing the toxic additives found in other foils such as Antinomy and Chlorinated Parafin, which is also tough, durable and light.  The system also has the benefit of retarding water vapour flows from sub-floor moisture.  As heat rises, heat loses through the floor are predominantly radiant and traditional bulk insulation products which rely on conduction or convective heat insulation are relatively inaffective.
